This song, written while I was in high school, represented a major breakthrough in my music. It was the first piece I had written that was both technically challenging and musically accessible. After playing this at a cancer benefit, one of the guests came up to me and said "I've been playing guitar for 15 years, and I would never be able to play something like that" -- one of my fondest musical memories!
